A New Beginning - 2-22-22

Hello you lovely people, I hope this letter finds you happy and healthy!

Honestly, these last three years have been, hands-down, the worst I’ve ever lived. After I turned 40, my dad died unexpectedly in front of us, and after I thought I was just maybe starting to heal from that trauma, a global pandemic hit, and I’ve spent the last two years almost exclusively alone in my house. As soon as I was vaccinated and feeling much safer in the world, a close family member needed a pretty serious surgery and they stayed with me to recover. All of this stress and isolation has resulted in me gaining about 40lbs, and I havent painted for months.

I dont know about you, but I’m in desperate need of a new start. It looks like the pandemic is slowing (fingers crossed!), spring is coming, and I’m about to move into a new home in St. Paul, MN.

I figured today, 2-22-22 is as good as any day to start! To get myself back in the saddle, I’m going to begin slowly and do a little 6”x6” painting-a-day for a month. They’ll be $40 each and $5 to ship. And I’d like to say in advance, I’m sorry my prices are going up slightly. The price of canvas has gone up almost 30% (I could just cry!).

If you’d like to follow this painting-a-day project, please follow me on Facebook or Instagram.

I know I’m not the only one who has been really suffering these last few years. If you too, have been struggling, know you’re not alone, and hey, maybe today can be your re-start day too?

Be well,

Jill
